Purse for me...

This one wasn't made for sale, I'm starting my new job as a professional Registered Nurse next Monday and don't want to walk in there with a purse from Goodwill, lol! So I used this wonderful Moda fabric I bought on impulse in the quilt shop a couple of weeks ago, looked through my scraps & fat quarters, and even pulled out a shirt that's too small for my son.

The handles are braided fabric strips and ribbons. And I didn't have any of the stiff Pellon interfacing I used to use for purses, so used batting and quilted the outside pieces:

The inside lining is sewn to some denim scraps to make it a little stiffer; this doesn't have all the cell phone, keys, and pen pockets I used to put, but at least it holds my stuff... and the 1 big pocket is to hold the planner I just bought on clearance at Hobby Lobby.
I don't plan to start making purses again, there are SO many wonderful talented purse-makers out there. But if someone really, really wants something like this, I do have more of the outside fabric, although your inside pieces won't be exactly the same.
Just thought I'd share... this is the first thing I've made for ME in a looooong time, lol!
