It is a utilitarian space, and there is a short list of little things I'd like to get (new dishrack/drainer, paper towel holder, and clock):
And then the only big items we'd like to get are crown molding for the tops of the cabinets and handles for all the doors; and a new microwave, one that fits into the spot over the stove to free up more counter space:
The canning pot on top of the fridge needs a new home, but I can't figure out where to put it... it's so big it doesn't fit into the cabinets, and the fridge photo wall/magnets needs to be finished cleaning up:
Decorating dilemma... I have these 2 huge empty spaces, in the corner above the laundry room, and the space above the cabinets looking towards the dining room... should I leave them empty, or does anyone have any suggestions? Our whole living area is a very open floor plan, so something between the dining/kitchen areas wouldn't make it feel crowded.
And yes, I use it a lot, and LOVE the counter space!
