Before... a blah room, with WAY too much clutter... only good thing is the dresser. I knew this quilt wouldn't go at ALL in the new decor so it got moved to another room:
All the clutter out, dusted, and prepping for painting:
Since I don't own the house, cannot remove the wallpaper border... UGH!!!
I unwired the light fixture above the sink to make it a jillion times easier to paint up there!
I ended up taking down the medicine cabinets on the sides too, because it was impossible to paint in the corners behind them; yet you could see in the mirror.
Starting on the back wall
And the 2nd coat is on and drying... I wish I could remove the stupid wallpaper border and "accent wall" of wallpaper, but I think once everything is back in place it will all come together... at least it's neutral colors!
So now, back to work, this has been an exhausting 2 days of painting, my wrists hurt, lol! I'll post pics of it all put together and finished when I'm done. Let's see if I can rearrange the furniture too! And new curtains ready to go!
UPDATE:
Finished painting, with new curtains:

| One of these days, I'll make a quilt to go on my own bed... for now, neutral colored bedspread is okay |

I am impressed...and a little jealous.
ReplyDeleteWe also had a super king sized bed but not the proper mattress. It works out ok as soon as you learn not to roll too far toward the edge - or add a foam rubber surround. I have to say the cats loved it.
Thank you, DogsMom!! The foam rubber surrond sounds like a great idea, we haven't done it yet because we've both been a little afraid of bumping into the rail in the middle of the night, loL!
